For the 13th time, the Polityka weekly, together with the consulting company Deloitte and the Responsible Business Forum, awarded “Polityka’s ESG Leaves” – distinctions for ESG leaders in Poland. Among the awardees was Gdańsk Transport Company S.A., which this year, received the ESG White Leaf. We are proud and happy to be in this group.
GTC S.A., as a socially responsible company, has been conducting social campaigns and implementing real activities towards sustainable development, both pro-ecological as well as informational and educational regarding the safety of travellers, the development of local communities. The well-being, health and safety of our employees and employees in our value chain has always been our priority.
“Attention to the development of ESG issues has been with us from the very beginning of the project, which is why we are proud and happy that despite significantly increased criteria, in comparison to the previous years, we have received a distinction in the form of the ESG White Leaf. This proves that we are not deviating from the ESG path and that our long-term sustainability efforts are the right thing to do. ” – says Torbjörn Nohrstedt, GTC’s CEO.
The “ESG Leaves of POLITYKA” list is based on an analysis conducted jointly with the consulting company Deloitte, in which representatives of the largest Polish companies present their activities in the field of corporate social responsibility and sustainable development. The White Leaves were awarded to entities that are already implementing significant management elements related to the ESG area. For the first time, the award was given only to those companies that publish non-financial reports and calculate their carbon footprint in scope 1 and 2.
This year’s survey involved 98 entities, of which 58 companies received a distinction.
