Ever since 2008, the Gdańsk Transport Company S.A. has held a competition for Christmas card designs among children from orphanages in the Kuyavy-Pomeranian Province. The competitors are given the task of designing and producing a Christmas card incorporating a motorway motive under any desirable graphic technique. The winning work becomes the prototype of the Christmas card the company distributes among its clients. The winning children are honoured with prizes, while their homes receive a financial award dedicated towards financing summer vacation outings. When organising the competition, GTC employees complement their effort with charity clothes collections for children under the care of the homes participating in the competition.
