Motorway Program: Get Respect on Time!

Why “on time”? Because in this year’s edition of our program, we talk primarily about how important the driver’s reaction time is for safety.

It is really crucial to realize how important our well-being is, directly translating into the quality of reflexes, concentration and instant reaction time – those fractions of seconds that our brain needs to perceive and react “on time” in dynamic traffic.

And this is what the new tasks, riddles, quiz and other challenges await you in the AmberOne application in the Get Respect panel are about. We invite all regular players, participants of the program, to continue the fun. By the way, good news: there are already 10,000 of you!

We encourage all our Travelers, drivers and passengers, to join the program. The mechanism is simple: you solve tasks, earn “respects”, i.e. points that can be exchanged for prizes: tickets to cinemas, theaters and many tourist attractions of our region. There are 14 tickets to get and there are no limits – the more you play, the more you win!

The motorway programme is available in our free AmberOne application. How do I join? It’s simple:

  • Register, i.e. create your individual account
  • solve tasks and earn “respects”
  • Receive prizes, i.e. tickets to cinemas, theaters and tourist attractions

It is worth remembering that the package of tasks is expanded with new challenges every month, so check the application regularly and check the balance of your individual account: the number of “respects” earned, new tasks and the pool of prizes won.

Earn respect for your Commune!

From this year, we also invite municipalities adjacent to our Motorway to participate in the program. Safety “in the neighborhood” on local roads is also very close to our hearts.

The mechanism of participation in the game is exactly the same: each person creates an account in the AmberOne application in the Earn Respect tab, where they solve available tasks to earn points and prizes. Now note: registered participants can declare in their individual panel that they belong to the Municipality of their place of residence. Then the “estimates” earned by all residents of a given commune add up. Of course, to compete with other municipalities!

The ranking of the earned “respects” will also be visible in the application. It is worth the effort, because the Municipality, whose inhabitants will be most involved, wins not only our Great Respect, but also the main prize: a radar speed display.

Get Respect on the driving license course

Driver Training Centres also take part in our programme, which include selected tasks from our application in their curriculum. For the students, it is a small revision of the rules of road safety, especially concerning issues such as the corridor of life, zip-driving, maintaining a safe distance between vehicles, adjusting the speed to the conditions, concentrating on driving and not on the phone.

Of course, there is a reward for correctly completed tasks: a ticket to the cinema! We are pleased to present the winners of our Great Respect for participation in last year’s edition of the program:

  • Golden Respect for OSK Turbo Jazdy Tadeusz Brzeziński
  • Silver Respect for OSK AS Izabela Dymkowska, OSK LIDER Maciej Bukowicki, OSK ŁORDZIK Miłosz Mazany, OSK OŚKA Małgorzata Ośka, OSK PIĄTY BIEG Mikołaj Cimaszkiewicz, OSK PREMA Szkoła Jazdy Marcin Murawski, OSK Rafał Filipski

Thank you again and we continue our work in this year’s edition.

The patronage over our motorway program was taken by the Pomeranian Driver Training Center in Gdańsk and the Provincial Driver Training Center in Toruń.

Gdańsk deserves the title of the World Capital of Amber. For centuries, jewelry and utility items from amber have been made here. The extraordinary history of amber can be admired at a modern and multimedia exhibition in the Great Mill in the Old Town.

It is the largest mill in medieval Europe, once driven by the waters of the Radunia Canal, erected by the Teutonic Knights around 1350. Among the thousand exhibits there are not only amber nuggets from around the world, plants and animals embedded in them, but also masterpieces of old masters and a collection of modern art.

A visit to an early medieval settlement will provide an unforgettable experience. Looking under the Owidz roofs, you can learn about the history of the stronghold, ancient customs and the ancient world of Slavic gods.

It is also worth trying your hand at handicrafts and former fitness challenges. The stronghold in Owidz, reconstructed in 2012, lies on a moraine hill, on which in the early Middle Ages one of the most important defensive strongholds in Kociewie functioned. Picturesquely located in the bend of Wierzyca, surrounded by forests and meadows, it occupies over 6 hectares. There are, m.in, an amphitheater, a vast playground loved by children and the Slavic Inn “Na Podgrodziu”. There is also the first and only Museum of Slavic Mythology in Europe.

The Teutonic Castle is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The number of 50,000 exhibits includes such valuable collections as, for example, one of the largest collections of medieval architectural elements in Europe, a unique collection of artistic amber products on a global scale, an impressive set of old weapons and armaments, or a rich collection of numismatics referring to the historical Malbork mints.

The aim of the museum’s cultural, historical and artistic  activity is not only to organize exhibitions related to the history of the castle and the Teutonic Knights, but also to organize concerts, presentations, events and outdoor performances using the gothic architecture of the castle.

The Museum in Kwidzyn, acting as a regional museum, since 1950 has been collecting, preserving, developing and exhibiting objects of cultural and natural heritage related to Powiśle.

Collections of about 5 thousand objects divided into collections: works of art, numismatics, artistic crafts, archaeological finds and ethnographic collections. The castle in Kwidzyn is a branch of the Castle Museum in Malbork.

The over a hundred years old Museum is 22 hectares of area on the shores of Lake Gołuń built up with objects of regional architecture from the seventeenth century. Cottages, manors, school, forge, inns, windmills, churches, outbuildings and craft workshops – over 50 objects from Kashubia, Kociewie and Bory Tucholskie.

Faithfully recreated interiors with authentic equipment, temporarily launched economic and industrial device give this place an unusual atmosphere, intensified by the picturesque location and values of the surrounding nature.

Granary “Blue Lamb” is a historic, seven-storey granary located on the Granary Island, whose history dates back to the sixteenth century and the oldest internal wooden elements come from 1360.

The attractiveness of this branch of the Gdańsk Archaeological Museum lies both in the permanent and temporary exhibitions, as well as in the interior itself.  Visitors can enjoy not only watching archaeological exhibitions, but also walking around a unique object.

The museum is an extremely attractive place, enchanting with its rich history and presentation of the cultural heritage of Kashubia. Here you can learn about fascinating issues related to literature, material culture, language, as well as the history and regional traditions of Kashubia.

The exhibits are presented in eight exhibition halls of the main building. On the ground floor there are objects related to the activities of the local population, while on the first floor there are products of Kashubian folk art. The revitalized so-called economic museum building houses Basil’s forge, an exhibition entitled “Kashubian modernity grows from the roots” and temporary exhibitions.

This charming open-air museum, i.e. an open-air museum, is the oldest monument of Sopot. It is located in a picturesque scenery of lush greenery and humming streams. The reconstructed buildings of the former stronghold are presented here: a hut, a gate and partly a palisade, i.e. a fence made of wooden piles.

All elements of the buildings were reconstructed exactly in the places where their relics were discovered, i.e. the remains of authentic elements existing in the past. The hillfort is a branch of the Gdańsk Archaeological Museum.

The museum with Benedictine diligence and patience cherishes the memory of what has passed, but will remain in the memory, accepting as its mission the protection of local heritage by collecting and securing monuments related to the history, culture, art and traditions of the inhabitants of Grudziądz and the Chełmno land.

It preserves the memory of the past of the city and the region, commemorates the stories of many cultures and times. It is a place where tradition is intertwined with modernity creating a modern institution. It shapes the awareness of identity with its “little homeland”.
