Continuation of renovation works on the AmberOne A1 Motorway

In 2025, the next stages of renovation works started in previous years will be carried out on AmberOne. This year’s renovations will cover a total of about 80 kilometers of roadway.

Mainly the wearing course will be replaced, the binding course will be partially replaced and the existing pavement structure will be strengthened so that it can carry the forecast heavy traffic. The surface of the slip roads of the interchanges will also be renovated, as well as the surface and selected toilet buildings at the MOP.

Road repairs, as we know, must take place in appropriate weather conditions, so they can only be carried out from spring to autumn. This year’s works will last from the end of March to November, including the holiday period. In order to minimize traffic restrictions, the renovations have been divided into several stages. The works will be carried out simultaneously on two 6-9 km sections, where traffic will run on one roadway. The duration of work on each section is from 5 to 7 weeks. Timely completion of works depends on weather conditions.

The first stage of works will start on  24 March, it will be a section of km 30+000 – 35+889 (between the Swarożyn and Pelplin junctions), on which the roadway in the direction of Łódź will be closed, and traffic will take place in two lanes in the direction of Gdańsk and one lane in the direction of Łódź.

At the same time, there will be a partial closure of the gates in the direction of Gdańsk at PPO Rusocin.

In 2025, renovations of the following sections are planned, and we will inform you about the dates of the commencement of the next stages in separate announcements.

A section of  km 81+300 – 90+000 (between the Warlubie and Nowe Marzy junctions), on which the roadway in the direction of Gdańsk will be closed. In addition, the Nowe Marzy junction in the direction of Gdańsk will be closed.

A section of km 57+300 – 65+150 (between the Kopytkowo and Warlubie junctions), on which the roadway in the direction of Gdańsk will be renovated. In addition, the Kopytkowo junction in the direction of Gdańsk will be closed.

A section of km 35+889 – 43+350 (between the Pelplin and Kopytkowo junctions), on which the roadway in the direction of Łódź will be closed. In addition, the Pelplin junction in the direction of Łódź and the Olsze MOP in the direction of Łódź will be closed.

A section  of km 74+980 – 81+300 (between the Warlubie and Nowe Marzy junctions), on which the roadway in the direction of Gdańsk will be closed.

Section at km 43+350 – 50+600 (between the Pelplin and Kopytkowo junctions) renovation of the roadway in the direction of Łódź. Section of km 81+300 – 90+000 (between Warlubie and Nowe Marzy junctions), renovation of the roadway in the direction of Łódź with partial closure of the Nowe Marzy junction and section of km 26+652 – 35+889 (between the Swarożyn and Pelplin junctions), renovation of the roadway in the direction of Gdańsk.

The next three sections: km 138+500 – 145+000 (between the Turzno and Lubicz junctions) renovation of the roadway in the direction of Łódź with partial closure of the Lubicz junction, km 43+350 – 50+600 (between the Pelplin and Kopytkowo junctions renovation of the roadway in the direction of Gdańsk and the section  of km 145+000 – 151+900 (between the Lubicz and Nowa Wieś junctions), where the roadway in the direction of Łódź will be renovated.

Renovation works are a must, but at the same time they are an obstacle to travel. The priority of the organization of works is the least possible impact on the flow of traffic, and at the same time the greatest possible safety of both travelers and people working on the Motorway.

During the renovation works, drivers will be required to increase concentration and comply with the temporary traffic organization signs. For safety reasons, the speed limit on each of the renovated sections will be a maximum of 80 km/h.

For the safety of all passengers, it is also important to create a corridor of life on time, i.e. in the event of congestion, to place vehicles in advance to the edge of the road, in a way that allows emergency services to pass.

In accordance with the decision of the Minister of Infrastructure, the amount of tolls for the passage of the renovated section remains unchanged.

Current information on the details of the ongoing and planned works is available on the a1.com.pl website. The updated map of repairs allows drivers to easily find out which sections are being repaired and where they will encounter road narrowings or partial closures of junctions or MOPs.

In addition, information about the ongoing repairs will appear on the AmberOne Autostrada A1 Facebook profile and the free AmberOne mobile application.
