Gdańsk Transport Company awarded in the “ESG Eagles” competition

Gdańsk Transport Company received the “ESG Eagle” award in a competition organised by Rzeczpospolita. The company was recognized for its consistency in achieving its goals and transparent disclosure of ESG information.

The justification for the award emphasizes that the company’s efforts to reduce CO2 emissions and promote sustainable development deserve recognition. The introduction of the exhaust emission calculator in the AmberOne application increases the environmental awareness of drivers. Calculating the carbon footprint, installing photovoltaic panels, and biodiversity conservation projects are just some of the initiatives that demonstrate the company’s responsibility. Cooperation with municipalities confirms its leadership in the pursuit of a sustainable future.

“We are very proud that GTC S.A.’s operations have been recognized in the “ESG Eagles” competition, and that we have been recognized for the consistent implementation and improvement of sustainable development elements in the entire motorway and road transport sector. Perseverance in introducing changes results from the commitment of the team, in which we believe that building awareness of how the choices made during each journey affect the natural environment and travel safety, as well as building close relationships and cooperation with the local societies will help build a responsible and sustainable motorway project together.” – Torbjӧrn Nohrstedt, President of the Management Board of GTC S.A.
