It is worth knowing that there are four most common causes of accidents due to the fault of drivers. All of them concern simple, even basic rules of moving in road traffic. Why, then, do drivers break these rules by risking their own lives, those of their passengers and other travellers?
Perhaps this is due to a lack of knowledge, perhaps imagination.
To stimulate the imagination of drivers and help consolidate knowledge, we periodically animate educational activities under the slogan “Count to zero”. The method is a direct organoleptic experience: on an interactive installation you can test yourself in four activities that teach competence to these aspects of safety, which are the most common causes of road accidents through play:
Our action is a chance to test yourself during interactive fun and learn the hard way that all you need is knowledge and imagination to avoid most accidents. The installation will allow drivers in special goggles to see the world with very tired eyes, assess their reflexes on the reflexometer, look in reality at the real safe distance between vehicles and check in the animated game how many stimuli from the road escape our attention when we play with the phone or navigation.
On all holiday weekends, our motorway animators together with giga-installations and gifts are waiting for Travelers on selected MOPs in the direction of Łódź. Contrary to the common belief among drivers about their own infallibility, it is always worth checking whether our habits do not cause danger on the road. We invite you on all holiday Saturdays to MOP Olsze, Malankowo or Kleszczewko. Attention: in case of inclement weather, activities may be postponed to Sunday, the current schedule with the given location is published on the motorway Facebook profile.
Schedule of holiday Saturday actions on MOPs in the direction of Łódź:
If you travel with children, we also have something special for them. For the youngest Travelers, we have prepared an attraction with prizes: a scaled outdoor board game called “Green Journey”, in which children are themselves “pawns”. The game deals with the topics of safety in travel and pro-ecological behavior, so it will certainly provide a good portion of movement and entertainment, as well as knowledge for all – not only holiday – “green travels”.
On 5 December, on the A1 motorway at the level of the Kleszczewko MOP, rescue services will carry out exercises consisting in the simulation of an accident. If you notice an accident between 10.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. while driving past the Kleszczewko MOP, please do not call the Operator’s emergency phone number or other rescue services with information about the accident, because during these hours the Kleszczewko MOP will be the place of exercises.
In connection with the planned exercises, the following will take place:
– closing the lane in the direction of Gdańsk and redirecting traffic through the Kleszczewko MOP – parking at the Kleszczewko MOP in the direction of Gdańsk will be inaccessible to heavy goods vehicles
