We invite all Travelers to participate in our program and we challenge you right away! #ZdobądźSzacun is a name with deliberate ambiguity. Firstly, we motivate people to strive for respect “behind the wheel”, and secondly, we reward them, because it #szacuny our virtual currency, which can be earned in the program and exchanged for prizes.
The program is available in our free AmberOne application. To participate, earn respect and rewards, all you need to do is:
- join, i.e. create your individual account
- solve tasks, riddles and other attractive challenges
- receive prizes, i.e. tickets to cinemas, theaters and tourist attractions
Sounds good? Let’s get into the details.
The current edition of the #ZdobądźSzacun programme is addressed to drivers, especially those who regularly travel on the A1 AmberOne Motorway, and to people on driving courses. Why? Our theme this year is driving habits. The bad ones, the good ones, and of course changing the bad ones into the good ones. Driving licence students have it better – their habits are just being formed. Drivers have it harder, because they have often developed unfortunate habits over the years, which are a challenge to change…
And this is where the #ZdobądźSzacun program comes to the rescue, because in it we repeat, repeat, repeat – and this is the basic condition for success, i.e. changing bad habits for good! Other conditions that also support your success are satisfaction and gratification, i.e. #szacuny and rewards.
Worth? Of course it’s worth it.
So, if you are already a driver or you are on a driving license course at one of the Driver Training Centers participating in our program – join and get real respect! To get started, use the 4-step instructions below.
There are many challenges in the program. Some of them can be solved immediately after joining the program, and some will appear successively at regular intervals – so check back for what’s new.
The rule is simple: the more respects you earn, the more ticket prizes you win. Everything is done automatically in your in-app dashboard, so you can see at a glance how many #szacunów you already have and which rewards are already within reach.
Please note that in addition to the tasks in the application, you can earn additional #szacuny for recommending the program to your friends, for participating in a series of holiday events at motorway MOPs and for the good habit of taking breaks to rest on a longer journey (instructions will be available at our MOPs soon).
All the rules and mechanism of the program are described in detail in the Terms and Conditions.
The #ZdobądźSzacun motorway programme is part of the campaign under the slogan “Let’s respect each other”, which we have been running in various versions for several years. The idea and intention is to inspire road users to self-reflect on their behaviours and habits. We say: let’s respect each other, meaning the new rule of road safety. It is a simple rule: kindness instead of aggression, responsibility instead of competition, respect instead of disregard for other road users.
This year’s theme, i.e. habits behind the wheel, and more specifically changing the bad for the good, is an idea close to the activities of the Pomeranian Road Traffic Centre in Gdańsk and the Provincial Road Traffic Centre in Toruń, which partner the motorway programme.
“We joined the #ZdobądźSzacun programme organised by the AmberOne A1 Motorway without hesitation, because for 26 years we have been engaging forces and activities to ensure that prudent drivers and pedestrians aware of the rules move on the roads,” says Luiza Skrobiszewska, head of the Department of Transport Education and Road Safety at WORD in Toruń. – Unfortunately, there are still many drivers who have “bad” habits behind the wheel. We meet with them on the occasion of training to reduce penalty points and re-education training for drivers. If we want our roads to be safer, WE, all road users, must take care of it, so let each of us #ZdobędzieSzacun on the road by changing bad habits behind the wheel.
– As drivers, we often tend to develop certain habits behind the wheel. – says Roman Nowak, Director of the Pomeranian Road Traffic Centre in Gdańsk. – Some often change their position behind the wheel, deviating from the instructions given to them by the instructor during driving lessons, change the position of their hands on the steering wheel from “fifteen to three” to a completely different one, and even operate the steering wheel with only one hand. Others use a phone while driving, which requires holding it in their hand, and allow the passenger to keep their legs on the dashboard in the place where the airbag is located. All these examples are very dangerous and can turn out to be tragic. It is extremely important to realize that, m.in, the above habits can be quickly eliminated, as they have a direct impact on safety while traveling. The goal behind all activities of PORD in Gdańsk is to improve road safety. By cooperating with AmberOne A1 Motorway, we prove that the topic of safety can be shown in an interesting way, and changing habits to the desirable ones ensures satisfaction.
Changing bad habits for good means safer travel for all of us. Habitual behaviors are activities undertaken automatically, which is why the element of self-reflection of drivers is crucial. Looking at your behaviour “behind the wheel” and verifying whether it is good or bad – this is the real challenge.
We invite you to the program, wishing you courageous and fruitful reflections, and thus safer and safer roads.
