Already one million drivers quickly and efficiently pass the gates of AmberOne Autostrada A1 thanks to the AmberGO automatic payment system. From now on, you can also use the convenience of this solution in the multifunctional mPay application.
mPay has started cooperation with Gdańsk Transport Company, thanks to which users of the mPay application can already use the AmberGO automatic payment system. The service works on the principle of videotolling, i.e. cameras located at the gates recognize the registration numbers of the vehicle and if the number appears in the mPay application register, the barrier rises in front of the vehicle automatically. Payment is taken directly from the user’s account. The service in the application is enough to activate once. At the time of the ride, there is no need for the phone to have access to the Internet. What’s more, if you have an active service, you do not have to have a phone with you during the trip so that the gates are opened.
Using the mPay application, you can also pay for motorways on the A4 (Sośnica-Wrocław) and A2 (Konin-Stryków) sections, where the e-TOLL payment system operates, and for the A4 motorway (Katowice-Kraków), where videotolling also operates.
– Choosing a method of payment for motorway journeys is actually very simple. If you want to travel comfortably, just install the mPay application. Another functionality of the application is proof that we are able to effectively respond to the needs of our users and provide them with new values. mPay is constantly expanding the range of services, thanks to which the application becomes a one-stop shop, offering comprehensive services related to broadly understood payments. We consistently strive to save our users’ time and make it easier for them to pay various types of receivables – says Andrzej Basiak, President of the Management Board of mPay S.A.
– The AmberGO system was the first in Poland to start the stage of automatic motorway payments based on videotolling. We are constantly expanding the system by expanding the range of operators supporting automatic payments. We hope that joining mPay to the group of applications supporting AmberGO will increase the attractiveness of the system and increase the number of active users using modern payment methods. Currently, 35% of motorway transactions are carried out using automatic payments. – explains Wojciech Mąkinia, Vice President of the Management Board of Gdańsk Transport Company.
The mPay application also allows you to pay for parking in over 60 cities throughout Poland, including Gdańsk and Sopot, and thanks to the innovations introduced, the driver knows in which paid parking zone he is located and what the fee is therefore. An interesting option for drivers is the possibility of using the motor insurance comparison engine and the purchase of the best insurance offer.
Through the application you can also buy public transport tickets. Other services it offers are, m.in, buying train or bus tickets, topping up the phone or games, paying for access to film and music services, sending parcels by courier or making transfers. It is worth checking the new functionalities of the application, because from month to month there are more and more of them.
