The report “Responsible Business in Poland. Good Practices” is the largest review of CSR and sustainable development initiatives in Poland. In the 22nd edition, 1046 practices implemented by 266 companies were presented.
All five reported good practices implemented by the AmberOne A1 Motorway concessionaire, GTC S.A., are included in the latest report.
Among the awarded practices were:
Stick to the principles of ECOdriving – Promotion of the ECOcalculator and ECOdriving aimed at reducing exhaust emissions, including the ECOdriving principle applicable on expressways.
AmberOne Close to Us – A programme to support neighbourhood initiatives in municipalities along the AmberOne A1 Motorway, which proves that activities aimed at local communities bring a measurable effect.
Count to zero – i.e. zero fatal accidents on the motorway – An annual series of holiday events at MOPs, sensorily influencing the change of four bad habits – the most common causes of road accidents.
Get Respect – A motorway program aimed at changing bad driving habits “for good” and shaping a conscious attitude of drivers, aimed at respect and cooperation instead of competition and aggression on Polish roads.
Fit and Eco – A program addressed to AmberOne employees, encouraging them to be physically active and give up their cars for the sake of emission-free commuting. Activities are converted into zloty, which after the end of the campaign go to jointly selected charities.
