On 25 May, work began on the next section of the motorway. A 9-km section from km 81+300 to km 90+000 between the Warlubie – Nowe Marzy junctions is being renovated. On this section, the roadway in the direction of Gdańsk is being renovated, traffic is taking place in two lanes in the direction of Łódź and one lane in the direction of Gdańsk.
Note, during the renovation of this section, the Nowe Marzy junction will be partially closed! The closure of the junction will be carried out in stages.
During the first stage, it will not be possible to enter the motorway either in the direction of Gdańsk or in the direction of Łódź. Vehicles driving on the motorway in the direction of Gdańsk will not be able to exit the motorway to the S5 expressway and the national road DK91. However, it will be possible to exit at the Nowe Marzy junction towards the S5 expressway (direction Bydgoszcz) for vehicles going towards Łódź. The first stage will last about 3 weeks.
In the second stage of works, the junction will remain closed only in the direction of Gdańsk. Vehicles heading towards Gdańsk will not be able to exit the motorway to the S5 expressway and the national road DK91. It will not be possible to enter the motorway in the direction of Gdańsk. Works on this section should be completed at the beginning of July, their completion depends on weather conditions.
At the same time, work is underway on the section at km 35+889 to 43+350 between the Pelplin – Kopytkowo junctions, where the roadway in the direction of Łódź is being renovated, and traffic is moving on two lanes in the direction of Gdańsk and one lane in the direction of Łódź.
In addition, the Pelplin junction in the direction of Łódź is closed. Vehicles heading towards Łódź cannot exit the motorway in the direction of Pelplin and Starogard, or enter the motorway in the direction of Łódź. In addition, the Olsze MOP in the direction of Łódź is closed.
Renovation works on this section should be completed in the first half of June, their completion depends on weather conditions.
The speed limit on the renovated sections is 80 km/h.
Drivers are asked to increase concentration and follow the temporary traffic organization signs.
